Yesterday (Friday) Ruth, the 87-year old from next door came over. She asked, "Have you seen Sparky my cat today?"
Apparently she was going to have him put to sleep - so she locked him in the house in the morning. Then she jumped in her car and delivered communion to the St. Leander shut-ins.
She returned a couple of hours later not able to find Sparky anywhere. She thinks he might have espcaped out an open window in the front bedroom.
As she picked up her cane and walked away from me, she turned back and said, "I think he knows what's up."
Then, last night at dusk I did see him sneak through John's yard... heading west.
So if you want to name your cat Sparky - I think the name will soon be available...if Ruth can ever catch him again.
As you may recall, 10 or 12 years ago he was the size of your new cat when you named him Sparky.
well, she doesn't live that far away! you'll have to come see her up here! she is sleeping next to me right now all sprawled out with her paw covering her eyes. so cute!
